Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy

'

I respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same in return.

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice through my contact page.

Your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of someone authorized to act for you);
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  3. The URL of the material you want removed;
  4. Your name, address, email, and phone number;
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Knowingly misrepresenting a claim can result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees (17 USC §512(f)). I may share your notice with the person responsible for the material in question.

Counter-notification

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notification through my contact page. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its original location;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where I may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Repeat infringement

I keep a record of DMCA notices and will terminate access for repeat infringers.
