Faroese first caught my attention through the music of Eivør (Pálsdóttir), whose voice I discovered on The Last Kingdom soundtrack.
I’ve seen Eivør in concert a few times now after I fell in love with her voice and the sound of the Faroese language.
That was really my inspiration for wanting to learn Faroese in the first place.
Faroese is still a niche language, but it’s definitely rising in popularity (thanks in part to Eivør), and more course options are finally being released.
In addition to tourism, cultural interest, and music, the benefits of speaking Faroese can’t be overstated.
Today I’ll give you my rundown of the best (and worst) online Faroese courses.
Below you’ll find pros and cons for each Faroese course, pricing, and a summary.
Where applicable, I’ll also link to a full review of the course.
