Summary

If, like many people, you enjoy binge-watching Netflix movies and series, then the Language Learning With Netflix extension for the Chrome Browser might interest you.

It's not without issues however, and is overpriced for what it is.

Today I just want to highlight a useful resource for any language learner who enjoys watching Netflix.

Why not make your couch potato time a little productive? 😊

Language Learning With Netflix is a popular extension for the Chrome browser (major drawback for those of us who don’t like Chrome).

What it basically does it add an ‘overlay’ over the Netflix video, so you can interact with the subtitles. This essentially turns Netflix into something similar to Yabla or FluentU.

There’s a freemium option which gives you basic functionality, but if you want to take advantage of the better features like saving words/progress, better translations and so on, you need to pay for the premium subscription.

This, in my opinion, is overpriced.

You’d actually be better off signing up for Yabla or FluentU (if your language is offered) and getting a more robust, feature-rich learning experience.

But overall, Language Learning With Netflix is a clever idea and a decent way to make your relax time productive.
